The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking certain of the more advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to take on dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to map your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of one button. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or two thorough maps of your home to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system that blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but it's an affordable cost to pay if want one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones generate minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move away if it comes across one.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something requires attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify how the Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you could need. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even if you are not at home. It also has additional mopping modes as well as an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead just following a set route.

The X2 Omni is the best robot for mopping. Its mop pads that rotate clean tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it increases suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing a thorough job. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features that you don't often see on robots in this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and identify different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are useful but they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury and could mean it's slightly more expensive than what some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving robot vacuum around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for on and off. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The central control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your house. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4% of debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, removing 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
